Exhaling
Talk about never thinking we’d see the day. Barack Obama is elected, the White House will be not-nearly-so-white, my stubbornly red state turned blue at long last, and I’ve never been so proud of the majority of my country for listening to their better angels.
So much I want to say, but the truth is that between the politics and meetings and advising and conference travel, I’ve been running on such a concentration deficit for the last few weeks that I’m hoping I can finally now take a deep breath and finish this chapter I keep not finding a way to finish. I’ll put my attention to that today, then, and breathe a whole lot easier while doing so.
